Mid-Career Crisis Averted

It's averted! I've been promoted.

Yes, I'm a little bit nervous. Is it the right job? For now, yes. I still very much enjoy this line of work. There will certainly be new challenges. And for the Alpha-male in me, he thrives on challenges.

Are there concerns? Certainly.

Chief among those concerns: This is a niche job, will I be pigeon-holed into this role forever? It's a huge step up, so what happens if this job is too senior for me? Next steps -- where will I go from here?
